Java Solution Engineer – LAM and C-Risk Enhancements
Location: Wrocław
 
 
ENVIRONMENT:
 
As a Java Solution Engineer you will become a part of a motivated team of JAVA Developers, who work with complex and worldwide distributed JAVA applications based on an Oracle DB (with Coherence Cache) and JAVA EE5. You will collaborate closely with teams across the globe, maintaining and evolving a complex, global web-application with almost 0 error tolerance.
 
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
 
The scope of the project is to enhance the existing Lombard ACP Model (LAM) and Concentration Risk (C-Risk) applications with further functional changes and by building interfaces to other systems around the globe and to proceed with its rollout to other locations.
Concentration risks of pledged PB portfolios (C-Risk) and transaction risks for all PB Lombard loans of bank units offering Lombard lending are calculated, both in an online mode as well as in a batch re-calculation mode.
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
·       Analyzing the requirements specifications, designing, implementing and documenting the technical solution in agreement with the technical application owner and the solution architect;
·       Taking into consideration the strategic roadmap of the domain, architecture standards and guidelines, economic efficiency, quality and feasibility within the project boundaries;
·       Implementing the functional and non-functional requirements and runing automatic JUnit tests and technical integration tests for the developed software;
·       Supporting requirements engineers and testers by resolving functional as well as technical issues that come up during the testing phase;
·       Working closely with the domain architect, the solution architect, the technical application owner and other software engineers.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
 
·       Minimum 4 years of experience in software development in Java Enterprise application development projects;
·       Strong development experience based on Java EE 5 specifications;
·       Knowledge of: JPA 2.x (EclipseLink), EJB 3.x; JSF, Facelets and CSS;
·       SQL knowledge on Oracle 11g;
·       Knowledge of XML and corresponding Java frameworks, e.g. JAXB;
·       WebLogic server 9.x/10.x knowledge;
·       In depth knowledge of Eclipse and Subversion or CVS;
·       Knowledge of Junit and UML;
·       Fluent written and spoken English;
·       Integrity and a strong sense to foster collaboration in a team.
·       Would be an asset:
-        Knowledge of: CDI, Bean Validation, Web Services / CORBA, Spring Batch, JIRA and Maven;
-        Experience in banking or finance industry (especially in the Credits domain);
-        Experience in international projects;
-        Experience in application development projects run according to CMMI standards.
