Software Developer / System Engineer (C#, .NET)
Location: Wrocław
 
 
ENVIRONMENT:
 
The Company is currently creating a homegrown CMDB solution (Configuration management database). The CMDB will allow users easy access to all aspects of the bank’s IT Infrastructure and will have a strong integration with other tools (150 adapters) through webservices, message bus and file consumption plus an extensive GUI including graphical visualization of dependencies and an extensive datamodel to store the data.
At the same time the current solution will have to be maintained and functionality will be transferred to the new solution during the next 2 years.
 
The main development environment for the new solution is C# and MSSQL, for the maintenance of the existing solution VBScript/VBA and Perl knowledge would be a plus.
 
While many of the integration designs will be reused from the current solution anything behind the scenes and the GUI is re-developed from scratch for the new solution, using latest technology and frameworks.
 
This role is for a Software developer to strengthen our current development team. This role provides the opportunity to use your creativity to provide efficient and maintainable designs which at the same time provide the highest usability and a refreshing end user experience. You will be part of a larger team – desire and capability to work in a team and have an open mind when it comes to information and knowledge exchange are a must.
 
TASKS:
 
·       60% development of new solution, 40% development work to enhance/maintain the current solution and prepare migration to the new solution (functionality, data).
 
PRIOJECT PHASE:
 
The project currently is in a prototyping mode with weekly task assignment until end 2016 and will then convert into an agile methodology to be used during 2017. Current phases are planned to run until end of 2017 but are expected to continue thereafter.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
 
·       Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar disciplines;
·       At least 5 years’ experience as an engineer in large and complex application development projects, preferably in an IT infrastructure context (ITIL processes);
·       Fluent written and spoken in English;
·       Excellent communication skills (oral and written);
·       Ability to pay attention to detailing and accuracy;
·       Strong problem solving skills and solution oriented;
·       Excellent time management and task management abilities;
·       Proactive, driven and capable of handling high pressure situations;
·       Windows, .Net, C#, MSSQL;
·       WebApi, oData, IIS, JavaScript/HTML5.
 
Desirable:
·       ASP.Net, VBScript, VBA;
·       Entity Framework;
·       NoSQL databases: MongoDB, Neo4j;
·       AMQP/RabbitMQ, Xaml;
·       Universal Apps.
